High-Stress Entrepreneurs Need to focus on Work-Life Balance.

Life of an entrepreneur is stressful, and there are no two ways about it. The stiffly competitive business environment and the curiosity to stay ahead of the curve heighten the stress levels.

Let’s take a recent example of Coffee King, VG Siddhartha, the founder of Cafe Coffee Day (CCD), India’s largest coffee chain. He went missing mysteriously near Mangaluru in Karnataka. After he went missing on Monday night, a massive search operation was launched along Netravati River and Siddhartha’s body was found after more than 24 hours.

Articles and news started circulating all over the web along with a letter written by the Coffee King, the same was tweeted by ANI.

Two words are considered to be the biggest reasons behind the serious step taken by VG Siddhartha and those two words are- ‘HARASSMENT” and “PRESSURE”. Let’s continue about these two words after taking a look at some stats.

  • The borrowings of Rs 6,547.38 crore as of March 2019!
  • For the quarter ended December 2018, Coffee Day’s consolidated revenue stood at Rs 996.51 crore.
  • The net profit had also jumped to Rs 73.15 crore from Rs 27.99 crore during the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The case is a clear example of what pressure, stress, and anxiety can do to you while living an entrepreneur life. Is this what stress should do to someone? Let’s discuss stress as an entrepreneur.

What do you need to do as an Entrepreneur? How can you prevent stress from destroying your self-esteem?

Talk about it!

Most of the entrepreneurs avoid talking to the near and dear ones about the stress they are going through or any other financial trouble.

This, in turn, enhances the already high-stress levels. It is advisable to have some friends of family members with whom you can share all your feelings, worries, and troubles so that they can help you find a way out and keep you away from stress.

Talking to your loved ones will make you feel better and you will have a great chance to recover.

Sense of Responsibility

The only responsibility of an entrepreneur is not to earn money. There are family members behind you to take care of.

You need to keep in mind that money doesn’t really matter to your loved ones and your family, it’s you who is priceless to them and they want to be with you.

Make sure to fight any circumstances in life and make the family as your first priority.

Nothing is more important than your life!

Another thing that should be kept in mind when you are surrounded by negative thoughts is that nothing in this world is more important than your life. You must live this life to the fullest and enjoy every moment with your loved ones. Having such a mindset can keep a lot of headache at bay.
